Talk about living a charmed life, eh? Even when you lose the Stanley Cup Final to the Carolina Hurricanes, you're still one of the most-talked-about teams in the NHL. Everyone hates your guts and the league can't stop talking about how evil Kelly McCrimmon and company are. You gotta love being on top as the league's proverbial villains.

Now, you're moving closer to the 2026-27 NHL season. Before you know it, the Golden Knights will be back no the ice and the temperatures won't be scolding hot like they are in July. Thank goodness for the Autumn season because the cooler temperatures alwas coincide with the NHL season coming around.

Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman is out

Detroit Red Wings general manager Steve Yzerman pulled off a surprising announcement as he stepped down from his role. After the Red Wings missed yet another postseason in 2025-26, there was no choice but to "walk away" from his role. At least, that's what he's telling the media.

Anyways, that puts a whole new spin on the Dylan Larkin situation. Sure, women who hate their husbands and men who hate their wives will collectively moan at yet another story involving the Golden Knights and Larkin. But it's yet another news story that will continue to haunt the fanbase until there's a resolution.

The 2026-27 NHL schedule is released

Mark your calendars for March 13 if you're looking to see Pavel Dorofeyev, Vegas Golden Knights fans. That's when the New York Rangers will come to town, reuniting the Russian winger with his old team.

Other noteworthy dates include February 20 against the Dallas Stars in Jerryworld and September 29 against the Chicago Blackhawks in the Opening Knight matinee. Ladies and gentlemen, hockey season will be here sooner than you think. Are you ready for some hockey?

The Vegas Golden Knights revealed their 10th anniversary logo

Remember those concealed logos that were plastered around the Las Vegas Strip? Fans weren't really wondering what the logo was about, for they had a sinking suspicion it would coincide with the Golden Knights. Lo and behold, that suspicion was true as the Golden Knights revealed said logo to the public on Thursday.

Now, the logo itself has drawn controversy, with some people dunking on the AI aesthetics. That's understandable since AI is being pushed to become our next overlords. But the logo will be gone after this season, leaving fans to forget that the AI anomoly ever existed.
