Are you wearing green for St. Patrick's Day, dear reader? The Buffalo Sabres are in town and you don't want to be pinched. Imagine not having that and dealing with a team that has won nine of its last 10 games before Tuesday's game. Talk about your bad luck.

Anyways, today is St. Patrick's Day, which means tons of shenanigans, drinking, and corned beef. It's also a time to reflect on what Vegas Golden Knights fans can consider themselves lucky to have. I mean, having a sports team established in the desert is a nice start.

But it goes beyond that. You want a team that's also successful, making two Stanley Cup Finals and winning a Stanley Cup. Those things matter, especially when you want that desert team to stick around.

So, let's celebrate St. Patrick's Day with plenty of corned beef and Guinness for the older folks. It's time to look at which four players Golden Knights fans are lucky to have. These stars make the hockey machine go in Las Vegas, putting them above everyone else. Time to grab your four-leaf clovers, dear reader!

4.) Mitch Marner

What more is there to say about the Canadian Olympian? The superstar winger has 19 goals and 50 assists entering Tuesday. He's already made an impressive impact on the Golden Knights, providing an offensive spark and a new offensive dimension.

Sometimes, you need a home run move to elevate your team to the next level. The Golden Knights are starting to pick up their play and Marner is to thank. He has three goals and seven assists in March, making him one of the most important offensive figures for the home stretch.

3.) Colton Sissons

Yes, you might not believe it. But Colton Sissons is essential to the whole Golden Knights apparatus. He's key for winning faceoffs (56.3% this season) and is primarily a defensive zone star (72.6% defensive zone starts this season).

On top of that, he's important for killing penalties. Sissons provides ample exits and has plenty of range. It's no wonder that Vegas enters Tuesday with the league's sixth-best penalty kill (82.3%).

2.) Mark Stone

If you want further perspective about why Mark Stone is crucial to the Golden Knights, look at their record without him. Vegas is 8-9-5 in 2025-26 without their Captain this season, making him an important offensive piece.

People might make all the LTIR jokes and torn spleen quips about Stone. However, he's the Captain for a reason, providing ample leadership and helping the Golden Knights in many ways. That ranges from even-strength to the power play.

1.) Jack Eichel

I mean, were you expecting anybody else?

Eichel's responsible for setting the single-season franchise record for assists (66) and points (94) last season. He's also important as a two-way player, serving many purposes on the Golden Knights.

He might get some hate in certain areas (think of Upstate New York). However, he's the cog that keeps the Golden Knights machine rolling. Without him, would Vegas have a Stanley Cup to its name?
