The Vegas Golden Knights can't help but be the main character in the NHL universe. Every player wants to go to Las Vegas and represent the Golden Knights while enjoying the sunny weather and nightlife. Well, that also applies to Broward County and the Florida Panthers, too. Just ask Brady Tkachuk.

Therefore, it shouldn't be surprising that the Golden Knights are in on the biggest names in the market. You've probably heard of names like Dylan Larkin and Connor Hellebuyck being floated around the rumor mill. You also know that Kelly McCrimmon tends to be one of the more creative general managers around.

With that, it's time to look at the possibilities of acquiring each player. The Golden Knights have plenty of names in the bowl to pull from here. But how realistic is each possibility? That's the major question heading into the busy season.

So, let's lay out the terms, shall we? This list is based on recent rumors revolving around which teams are looking at what players. That also includes the looming extension scenarios of Pavel Dorofeyev and Rasmus Andersson. Let's not forget about Adin Hill and Tomas Hertl being traded, too!

Perhaps the main focus: Dylan Larkin

It's no secret that Dylan Larkin is a terrific offensive player. The native of Waterford, Michigan has 276 goals and 367 assists during his 11-year career, making him a vastly underrated center. After all, he has six seasons of 30 or more goals.

But he's also fantastic on special teams, scoring 86 power play goals and nine shorthanded goals. His offensive acumen could be what the doctor ordered in all facets, specifically if the Golden Knights want to go all-in on their championship window. Therefore, watch for Vegas in a potential trade with the Detroit Red Wings.

Looking less likely: Connor Hellebuyck

Now, this could change depending on what happens with the Carolina Hurricanes. But the Hurricanes are looking to add some goaltender to make their tandem insame. It seems likely that they could get their wish with the Hart Memorial trophy winner looking to get out. If it doesn't work out? Florida could be in the mix here, as well.

A glimmer of hope: Jason Robertson

The Seattle Kraken offered Jason Robertson an eight-year deal worth $15 million AAV in a potential deal. However, the Dallas Stars forward rejected the deal, leaving the door open for teams to re-negotiate with him. Suddenly, teams like the Golden Knights can explore the possibility of bringing him onboard.

Is it likely? Probably not, considering that the Golden Knights must focus on Pavel Dorofeyev and Rasmus Andersson. But you never know what will happen with McCrimmon as your general manager.
