If you're a passionate NHL fan, you've probably seen the myriad of trades that went down this week. That ranges from Bowen Byram going to the Chicago Blackhawks to Brady Tkachuk joining his thumb brother in Broward County. Overall, it was a great week for hockey fans as they felt like it was the NHL trade deadline all over again.

As Vegas Golden Knights fans know, general manager Kelly McCrimmon is quite familiar with this ordeal. He's well-versed in swinging a few deals, whether it's for Jack Eichel, Noah Hanifin, or Mitch Marner. In short, McCrimmon's the right guy for the job.

However, some Golden Knights fans were a little... anxious. After watching Original Misfit Alex Tuch go to the Washington Capitals in a sign-and-trade deal, getting an eight-year deal worth an AAV of $10.5 million sounds jaw-dropping. Oh well, some reunions weren't meant to last, you know?

After all, the general manager only has $4.625 million in cap space (sans Alex Pietrangelo being put on season-ending LTIR) to work with. That isn't getting the job done unless you offload a sizable salary like Adin Hill and Tomas Hertl. Therefore, the general manager has a tough task ahead if he wants in on the fun.

Still, don't discount McCrimmon's creativity as a general manager. He's known to pull a few fast ones in the NHL realm, whether that's with Noah Hanifin or the aforementioned Hertl. But there's something that we can learn from the general manager regarding the trade realm itself.

If you're feeling stuck, trade a lesser habit for something more! Give up sitting around for working out or trying something new. That way, you can evolve and become a better person than you were yesterday.
