Bruce Cassidy will have some company from his Vegas Golden Knights team on Team Canada! The Golden Knights head coach will be joined by Captain Mark Stone, Mitch Marner, and Shea Theodore on a journey to eat endless pasta in Milan.

As hockey fans remember the last time Team Canada played in a high-stakes competition, they came out on top in a thriller. Could that be a repeat of last time in Italy? Stay tuned.
But one thing's certain: Canada's getting some firepower. Stone has 30 points (nine goals and 21 assists) in 21 games this season, while Marner is second on the Golden Knights in points with 40 (nine goals and a team-high 31 assists). Marner became the fastest player in Golden Knights history to get 40 points, doing so in 37 games.
As for Theodore, he might be hurtin' and limpin' right now. However, he has four goals and 16 points this season (31 games), making him a valuable puck-moving defenseman. The Original Misfit had a career year last season, notching a career-high 50 assists.
What do the honors mean for the Vegas Golden Knights heading into the 2026 Winter Olympics?
For one, it's a traumatic flashback for Golden Knights fans everywhere. Fans remember when Theodore participated in the 4 Nations Face-Off last season, only to suffer a brutal wrist injury that caused him to miss some time. Fans are getting their lucky rabbit's feet and four-leaf clovers out, hoping that the upcoming Olympics aren't a repeat of the 4 Nations Face-Off.
That also rings true for Mark Stone, who has a well-known injury history himself. He's suffered from maladies such as a lacerated spleen and a bad back, leaving some people to delve into the conspiracy theory section. Golden Knights fans will hold their breaths for the Captain, hoping that he makes it out in one piece.
But what about Adin Hill? It was fairly obvious that he wasn't making the roster. He's still considered week-to-week with a lower-body injury, with rumors flying that he's out longer than expected. Therefore, no spaghetti for the Calgary native as he joins William Karlsson on the injury sidelines.
Still, it's the Olympics and the players are playing for their countries. It's a point of pride to win a gold medal at the highest stage and do whatever it takes to beat other nations into oblivion. That will be no different for the big names heading to Milan come February.
Be sure to wake up early with some rigatoni and a cannoli in Las Vegas. The 2026 Winter Olympics will be a blast and the Golden Knights will have plenty of representation. Fans should look forward to a pasta-filled main event between Mitch Marner and Jack Eichel, with maple leafs and cheeseburgers flying all across Italy.
