Things were going well for Shea Theodore and the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday. They had Pavel Dorofeyev back on the ice and were laughing. You can say that they were having a "hootenanny" of a time. However, the Original Misfit didn't make it out of practice.
According to Danny Webster of Las Vegas Review-Journal, the defenseman is dealing with an upper-body injury. His status for Wednesday's game against the New Jersey Devils has been thrown into uncertainty, adding more mystery to the game.
Shea Theodore is dealing with an upper-body injury. Cassidy said he’ll see how he’s responding tomorrow.

Jack Eichel (illness) left practice early.
Jeremy Lauzon could be an option tomorrow.
It's a shame, too. Theodore had a goal and five assists in December, marking a return of the scoring Misfit. Overall, he has four goals and 16 assists, making him one of the most reliable Golden Knights defensemen in offensive terms (try wrapping your head around that saying).
Labeled as day-to-day, that opens up the possibility of seeing Jeremy Lauzon take action on Wednesday. The heavy-hitting defenseman could provide his patented checks and penalty box time, knocking some teeth out of the Devils. If not? C'est la vie.
Just when the Golden Knights have been dealing with some good news on the injury front, the latest news hits them hard. Theodore has emerged as the best scoring option on the blue line, bolstering all aspects of the Golden Knights' offense. That includes the power play, where he has a goal and three assists on the unit.
Plus, Golden Knights fans are all too familiar with how these injuries play out. One minute, you see a player leave the ice and it doesn't appear so severe. The next, you see them with the dreaded week-to-week designation, leaving fans to pull their hair out.
Golden Knights fans have their fingers crossed that it's nothing too severe. They've already dealt with troubling injuries to key players such as William Karlsson and Adin Hill. If Theodore's gone? Well, it'll hurt more than you think.
