If you're wondering if it's the 6-2 score, it's not. Jack Eichel might have some input into the outcomes for the Golden Knights. But it's entirely a team effort here. Instead, we're talking about how the Olympic gold medalist is scoring more goals.

Currently, he's projected to score 41 goals this season, a career-high for the center. On top of that, it would put him in the fabled 100+ point club. No Golden Knights player has hit the century mark or beyond in a single season, putting the superstar in a different tier.

On top of that, he has a shooting percentage of 18.8 this season. That would also be a career-high, making him the best forward in team history as well. It's safe to say that Golden Knights fan have noticed something different with their beloved superstar.

And no, it doesn't involve the power play. He still doesn't have a power play goal this season, building off his abysmal goal-scoring showing on the man advantage from last season. Let's not forget that he only had one power play goal in 2025-26, which came late in the season.

Still, that noteworthy change has involved Eichel's aggressiveness on the attack. He's getting down and dirty and is committing to a better shot selection. In turn, the improvements have unleashed a new talent in his game, making him more potent. The statistics tell a story of how Eichel has improved his game with some tweaks.

How Jack Eichel's aggressive and tactical play is helping the Vegas Golden Knights

As mentioned, Eichel has taken on a more aggressive persona in attacking the net. He's not afraid to let one rip and doesn't overthink the shot, which is a promising sign for the Golden Knights. But it goes beyond being aggressive for the Olympic gold medalist. It's also how he's taking his shots.

Last season, he struggled with getting pucks to the net. While he led the Golden Knights in shots on goal (260), he wasn't getting as many shots on the net as he'd hope. However, that has drastically changed as he's not overthinking and is letting them rip.

Looking at our old stat friend, MoneyPuck, fans will notice how much his shot selection has improved.

Don't forget that his shooting percentage last season was 10.4%. That was a paltry number for a superstar looking to crack 100 points in a season. Instead, he's thriving in unblocked areas and spots where there are heavy traffic.

How, you ask? By leaning on his teammates. Eichel hasn't been afraid to go to his linemates for some assistance, whether it's Mark Stone or Ivan Barbashev. Stone has used his size to disrupt the goaltender's flow, while Barbashev has taken away the opponent's space through sheer force.

The result? A better Eichel that everyone can appreciate. That has also translated into a player that everyone expects to be the first Golden Knight in franchise history to hit the century mark (or beyond) in a single season. I guess you can say that he works great from home.
