Looking at the title, you'd have an obvious answer to the question. The Vegas Golden Knights have never had a 100-point player in franchise history, with Jack Eichel coming the closest in 2024-25 (94). He got 90 points the season after, marking his arrival as one of the NHL's best players.

Yes, that's correct. That's one of the things that must happen in order for Eichel to hit the century mark and beyond this upcoming season. Of course, this is an unpredictable thing to nail down.
You never know when a devastating hit will crunch you during an NHL game. That's happened to players such as Eichel, Mark Stone, and William Karlsson. Such players have been knocked out of commission for a chunk of the season, hampering the Golden Knights in the process.
Not only that, but it hampers the player's statline. Imagine if Stone played all 82 games (for once) last season. He would've hit 100 points with his 1.22 points per game, making him the first 100-point player in Golden Knights history.
Aside from health, Eichel can do something to make Golden Knights history. Let's explore some ways that the Olympic gold medalist can achieve the mark and become immortalized in franchise history. Let's not forget that he'll have some friendly competition from Mitch Marner for the upcoming season (and beyond!).
Keep shooting the puck
It's funny that people want to tell Eichel to shoot the puck, yet he's done exactly that. The past four seasons have seen the Olympic gold medalist notch over 200 shots, making him one of the most aggressive Golden Knights around.

Last season, Eichel only had one power play goal. Yes, you read that right. The single-season points leader only scored one goal on the man advantage in the 2025-26 season.
Attacking the high-danger zone also applies here for Eichel. He can easily topple that mark in the first five games (he can even do it on Opening Knight) if he can get more aggressive in this spot.
Rely on his teammates
Eichel has always been a high-volume assists guy, especially in the past two seasons. He's become more of a distributor who can find an opening to attack. He does this especially well when Mark Stone was on his line, where he doesn't force plays.
He shouldn't just rely on Stone, though. Work with Mitch Marner, Ivan Barbashev, and other prominent teammates to cash in on those scoring opportunities. This will especially come into focus with Pavel Dorofeyev out of the picture, as Eichel must carry the offensive burden on the power play.
