Should Vegas Golden Knights fans overreact to these three claims?

It's time to look at some boisterous claims and see if they're worth overreacting to. Heck, we'll even mint it as the "VGK Edition!"

You know, these first four games have been eventful for the Vegas Golden Knights. We're talking about goaltenders not tending goals, three straight games heading to overtime, and the Golden Knights even coming back, only to blow a two-goal lead. That's led to some massive overreactions and takes from the fanbase.

Some people lost their collective minds when the Golden Knights lost in the season opener. Granted, it's understandable when you lose a two-goal lead. However, it's the season opener. There's plenty of time to correct some mistakes.

That's just one of many overreactions to the season so far, mind you. So, let's look at three that stand out the most. Some of these are as random as a sneeze, while others are positive and could have credence. Think of winning an MVP award for the positive one.

Anyways, let's dive into the overreactions and see where we land. But I'm going to warn you: don't lose your minds over these reactions. I don't want you ending up in the hospital or hurting yourself! Self-care is crucial in our daily lives, you know.

1.) Jack Eichel will win the Hart Memorial Trophy

During the summer, the spotlight was put on Mitch Marner after he joined the Vegas Golden Knights. Fans were wondering how well he'd do in Las Vegas. Of course, the other spotlight was on Jack Eichel and his contract extension. However, it appears he's having no problem with putting up big numbers.

He has four goals and five assists in his first four games, including two in a big Tuesday win against Calgary. The Golden Knights have faith in their superstar center to lead the team during its current Stanley Cup window. It appears he's putting Vegas in good hands with his performance. Therefore, don't be surprised if he's at the front of the Hart Trophy conversation.

2.) Adin Hill is reverting back to his old form

On Tuesday, Adin Hill had a subpar showing in shortened time against the Flames. He made eight saves from 10 shots before leaving with a lower-body injury. Fans have been concerned with his slow start, wondering if he's reverted to his backup form.

However, the defense in front has been a problem. The issues have varied, including unsuccessful exits and poor stay-at-home play. Hill can only go as far as his defenders can carry them. Until they shape up, the goaltender will continue being in a rough position.

OVERREACTION

3.) Tomas Hertl's slow start is a sign of things to come

Much like the rest of the Golden Knights sans Eichel, Mark Stone, and Pavel Dorofeyev, Tomas Hertl is still picking things up to start the season. Currently, he has a goal (coming off an empty net) and two assists in four games.

But he also doesn't have a power play goal this season. In fact, every Golden Knight sans Pavel Dorofeyev is without one. Expect that to change once the season progresses and he gets more touches in the slot.
