Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to unclench your rear ends. Jack Eichel is staying with the Vegas Golden Knights for eight more years.

Darren Dreger was the first to report the new contract, which carries an annual value of $13.5 million for each season. After months of pure speculation and waiting, it appears there won't be any more drama and worrying about the Golden Knights superstar playing anywhere else.

It's with good reason that the Golden Knights superstar sticks around with his new best friend, Mitch Marner. Last season, Eichel set franchise records in assists (66) and points (94). Fans saw what the franchise center could do when healthy for a full season, capitalizing on a competitive team to shock the hockey world.

Now, the former second-overall pick and Marner are set to compete for another Stanley Cup. As for the contract talks, it was no secret that Eichel wanted to stay in Las Vegas. He made his intentions clear throughout the summer, talking about how much he embraced the community.

Now? He's playing for eight more seasons, establishing himself as the team's de facto face. That should bring a smile to Golden Knights fans everywhere who hoped he'd return to Las Vegas instead of Connor McDavid coming to Sin City.

Connor McDavid!

You know you mean so much to a city when fans would rather have you stick around than arguably the league's best player. What's more is that $13.5 million AAV is a valuable deal. It's a testament to Kelly McCrimmon's masterclass in managing the salary cap, leaving money for Pavel Dorofeyev to scoop up.

Wednesday has turned into an excellent day for Vegas Golden Knights fans. They saw their superstar return for eight more years and have one of the best duos on lockdown for nearly a decade. That should be more than enough to make Las Vegas hockey a massive draw for years.

Unclench those rear ends. Breathe in. Breathe out. Fart if you need to.
