Look, it's no secret that Mitch Marner's good at hockey. Whether salty Toronto Maple Leafs fans want to admit it or not, the Vegas Golden Knights winger can put up points and be a playoff performer. That's what the NHL Network noticed as the Canadian Olympian entered the Top 20 Wings Right Now conversation. In fact, he came in at No. 4 on the list.

Surprisingly, Marner was the only Golden Knights winger to make the Top 20. Not even Mark Stone made the list, nor did any former Golden Knights wingers (think Pavel Dorofeyev). Still, Marner deserved his ranking for many reasons.
For one, he had an outstanding postseason, scoring 10 goals and 19 assists. He also had an excellent regular season showing with 24 goals and 56 assists in 2025-26. Those numbers led the Golden Knights to another Pacific Division title and a Stanley Cup Final appearance.
Marner's ranking makes him the best in the Pacific Division and the second-best, only behind Kirill Kaprizov of the Minnesota Wild (No. 3). The top winger in the list was Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning, who scored 44 goals and 86 assists last season.
It's funny that some people say that Marner doesn't do anything on the Golden Knights. Perhaps they're projecting their hatred for the Golden Knights winger or they're bitter that he's moved on to bigger and better things. Regardless, his latest ranking reflects how valuable he is to the Golden Knights—and the league apparatus.
