It's no secret that Jack Eichel is an all-around good guy. The Vegas Golden Knights superstar has put up 25 goals and 58 assists this season, making him extremely valuable to the organization. However, there's much more to the gold medalist than merely putting up solid numbers.

The Golden Knights megastar is also nominated for the 2025-26 King Clancy Memorial Trophy. This award is given to the player who displays leadership qualities on and off the ice. Not only that, but such players make numerous contributions to their communities, making them exceptional people.

There has never been a Golden Knights winner for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in franchise history. In fact, there hasn't even been a former Golden Knights star (think of those who played on the ice for Vegas) who won the award. Now, if you want to go by siblings, Malcolm Subban's infamous sibling, P.K. Subban, won the award in 2021-22.

Still, it's a "golden" opportunity for the Golden Knights forward to break another barrier. He's already set single-season franchise records for the most assists (66) and the most points (94), making him the franchise face. What's one more broke barrier going to do to the people of Las Vegas?

Most of all, he's done exemplary work within the Las Vegas community. Look back to when he served up chicken tenders and fries for the Las Vegas community at Raising Cane's after winning the Stanley Cup. He put his stamp on the city as one of its most iconic athletes, making him a legendary figure.

Eichel has also done work with Best Buddies International, helping people with intellectual disabilities. That's not even mentioning how he participates in the annual Battle 4 Vegas charity softball game, where he's one of the headline athletes. All these achievements are enough to silence the critics in Upstate New York, showing why he's deserving of everyone's affections.
