This morning, I slept in until 11 AM. It was the most wonderful feeling, knowing that I would take a load off and relax from my usual work. After all, writing about the Vegas Golden Knights isn't easy. It's constant work and searching for content to write about.
Luckily, it's an easy day today, as I'm chilling and taking the day off. Thank goodness because I had been exhausted throughout the past month, dealing with unruly neighbors and people bumping loud music. Ahh, life. Throwing obstacles at every turn.
But Golden Knights season is set to hit us soon, which will make life 10 times better. The temperatures cool and all of the little kids are back in school. On top of that, hockey returns!
With that, I have a full itinerary of what I plan on doing during the 2025-26 season. That includes traveling to different hockey cities and planning my next hockey trip overseas! What a time to be alive!
Let's give a full view of what Golden Knights fans and readers can expect from the new hockey season. Where will the premier travel spots be as we explore hockey fandom on a greater scale? Pack your bags because we're hopping on a plane across the globe!
What can Golden Knights fans expect from me in the upcoming season?
First, there are four NHL trips lined up for the upcoming season. I tried fitting as many Golden Knights games as possible, considering my busy schedule. Still, if I couldn't do anything for a Golden Knights game, I got a game a couple of weeks in advance.
So, what does the schedule look like? Well, it's something to the tune of this:
- Tampa Bay Lightning, October 11
- Los Angeles Kings, December 23
- Montreal Canadiens, January 10
- Dallas Stars, March 22
Sure, four games seems rather ambitious for a traveler like myself. However, it's part of a broader goal in mind: see all 32 hockey cities and arenas. Taking in different hockey cultures and exposing myself to the game of hockey makes fora more thrilling life as a Golden Knights fan.
I also have something else planned: a hockey trip overseas. As mentioned, I want to do a Sweden trip with a pitstop in Denmark (home of Jonas Rondbjerg) and see hockey from a different perspective. You've seen passionate hockey fans wave flags and don their favorite jerseys. But have you seen them jump up and down while chanting like they're at a soccer match?
Of course, some home Golden Knights games are expected. You can't just travel internationally and not take in a game or two at T-Mobile Arena. That would be sacrilegious on another level.
So, here's to an exciting 2025-26 season filled with new faces while exploring new places (Rhymes Like Dimes!). We finally have hockey this month, which will indicate that our boredom will be halted until the Spring. Let's celebrate this wonderful game and make new friends along the way! Go Knights, go!
