See that man in the distance, Vegas Golden Knights fans? Do you see the 6'5" goalie (he's not expected to be in the Olympics) that you literally can't miss in a crowd? That man is Adin Hill, and he returned to the ice for Thursday's practice. Again, I told you that you can't miss him.

Already, Golden Knights fans are feeling like it's Christmas. Fans were jumping for joy and yelling for the Calgary native to get his attention. Finally! Things are returning to normal.
Certainly, the good news would just end there, right? The Golden Knights fans wouldn't be too spoiled after seeing their starting goaltender around. Well, dear reader, I have something to tell you.
What if I told you that another Christmas gift came to City National Arena? What if I told you that Shea Theodore returned to practice in a red no-contact jersey? Yes, that guy who has four goals and 16 assists this season?

First, you get a guy who posted career-bests in GAA (2.47) and shutouts (four) last season. Then, you get a defenseman who's cranked up his two-way play and has become a legitimate force for Vegas? My goodness, I feel like breaking out the ol' Christmas tree again while waiting for William Karlsson and Brayden McNabb to arrive!
What Adin Hill and Shea Theodore returning means for the Vegas Golden Knights
Full disclosure: I've had one of the roughest months in my life in December. Aside from the Golden Knights suddenly struggling with injuries and winning, I've had to deal with bad car insurance companies (looking at you, Progressive) and some falling-outs with close friends.
For plenty of Golden Knights fans, they've gone through the motions of sadness and bad juju themselves. Having players like McNabb and Theodore go down in a heap has made life miserable, leaving fans to wonder if this season is cooked.
Well, let me assure you that this bit of news has left a big ol' smile on my face. Suddenly, I'm not thinking about the awful customer service I received, nor am I thinking about the latest stretch of mediocrity. Hill's and Theodore's return indicates that more reinforcements should be on the way.
Yeah, I know. It's just two players returning for the Golden Knights. So what? When you've dealt with a massive wave of injuries, yet you're still in first place, you have a reason to celebrate. After a long month of pain and misery, this is a victory that many Golden Knights fans—myself included—will gladly take. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm getting the Christmas tree back from the closet.
