The former first-round pick has fans excited for the future, especially after he scored 14 goals and 35 assists with the Henderson Silver Knights in 2026-27. Some people might not admit it, but the future looks brighter in Las Vegas than anticipated.
You also can't miss names like Cameron Whitehead and Tuomas Uronen, who'll also be in the Rookie Camp. The Golden Knights have plenty of young prospects who can make a difference during the 2026-27 season. Of course, Kelly McCrimmon can also trade them as he sees fit. After all, you need to bring in the big stars, right?

1.) Alex Weiermair
Last season was a banner year for the 21-year-old forward. He excelled with the WHL's Portland Winterhawks, scoring 37 goals and 56 assists. In fact, he got some time with the Tahoe Knight Monsters, notching an assist in two games.
He'll get more looks for the upcoming season, making him one of the most important forwards coming into the system. Having a strong Rookie Camp is a good start to moving himself up the Golden Knights' hierarchy. That'll mean generating plenty of scoring chances and getting involved in the game.
2.) Sean Burick
Another Californian on this list (Burick is from San Clemente, while Weiermair is from Los Angeles), the defenseman has one thing going for him. That would be his size, where he stands at 6'8" and weighs in at 214 lbs. Of course, that's not the only thing that he brings to the table.
Burick can also move the puck, as proven by his stellar play during his amateur days (Rhymes Like Dimes!). The goal for the defenseman is simple: Stick to your strengths and play your brand of hockey. If he can take away space and play an offensive role, he'll become a key piece for Vegas's prospect system in the future.
3.) Pavel Moysevich
No, Moysevich isn't magically from California (Instead, he hails from Belarus). But the goaltender does have one thing in common with the aforementioned Burick. That would be his size, as he stands at 6'7". That makes him hard to miss in net, making him an attractive future option for Vegas.
But he's also good at taking quick routes in the crease. Moysevich also had a good season with the VHL's SKA-VMF St. Petersburg, posting a GAA of 2.41, a save percentage of .917, and a shutout in 10 games. Watch for him to build momentum during Rookie Camp.
