2. Elite Goaltending

Marc-Andre Fleury has been sensational to start the year and, making his fourth start of 2019-20 on Saturday, the future Hall of Famer was on top of his game once again.

Despite having played the last two periods against the Arizona Coyotes after stepping in for the injured Malcolm Subban, Fleury looked as fresh as ever and he had another huge night between the pipes.

He stopped 33 of 35 shots and stood on his head at times as the Flames outshot the Golden Knights 35-30.

Fleury was particularly impressive at the end of the second period as Calgary looked to pile the pressure on, but Fleury stood firm and made a string of sublime saves to keep the momentum firmly in his team’s favor.

It was another outstanding outing from the veteran goalie who has been sharp and locked in from the very first drop of the puck in 2019-20.

You need elite goaltending if you want to be a contender and the Vegas Golden Knights are going to have a chance to win every single night with Marc-Andre Fleury between the pipes.
