What will the gameday experience be like for Vegas Golden Knights fans?

I checked on the Vancouver Canucks and San Jose Sharks on April 14, 2025. It was a battle between two teams eliminated from playoff contention, with only Vancouver playing younger guys for next season.

I can't tell you how giddy I was about checking out Rogers Arena. I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve, waiting for my presents to be opened. That feeling lasted throughout the night, where I was greeted by a friendly family from Squamish next to me.

They went to T-Mobile Arena for the Canucks and Golden Knights back in February and were in awe of the arena. How amazing is it that I reciprocated those same feelings of bewilderment while at Rogers Arena?

There was also a Canucks superfan named Crazy P who carried a drum with him. He fired up the Rogers Arena crowd, similar to what Lee Orchard does at T-Mobile Arena. Just don't give Lee a drum since he'll slash through that percussion instrument in a single smack.

While there were some rowdy San Jose Sharks fans, the Vancouver Canucks came back from a Macklin Celebrini power play goal to win in overtime, 2-1. Canadians were singing "Don't You Forget About Me" while Sharks fans went back to the hotel to put on their work uniforms.

Overall, I give this arena a 10 out of 10. Rogers Arena exemplifies everything perfect about Canadian hockey.

The clean, modern vibes.

The passionate fanbase who deserves a Stanley Cup once in their lifetime.

The pride for the game.

All these represent Canada in a nutshell, making it the perfect road trip for Golden Knights fans. The people are warm and vibrant and the scenery is breathtaking. Americans might make their jokes and quips about Canada. But it's worth giving Vancouver a chance, especially if you haven't been to the country before.
