I was doom-scrolling through X while watching the Golden Knights when I saw a movie trailer for Hamnet. It was your typical medieval film that featured romance, love, and a baby being born.
But there was one thing that hockey fans picked up on. The female actress looked like Mitch Marner.
is it just me or does this woman look like Mitch Marner https://t.co/OYvbF3tSZZ

Ah, I can hear the comments now:
"OMG, MITCH MARNER IS MOTHER!"
But seriously, to say that Mitch Marner looks like Jessie Buckley is hilarious. I would've never imagined the Golden Knights winger to be a theatrical kind of guy. A new level of fandom will permeate the X airwaves for weeks.
One unit that hasn't been "mothering" (or "fathering") is the Golden Knights in regulation. You see, Vegas doesn't have a regulation win or loss to start the season. All three games went to overtime, leaving fans wondering when they'll have a complete performance.
So, let's get serious for a second and focus on Vegas. Will they get that complete performance during the current five-game slate? More importantly, will the Golden Knights show their fans some grace and actually win during regulation this season?
The short answer: Yes. But it's a question of when. Let's explore that "when" and see when they'll pull off a regulation win.
When will the Vegas Golden Knights win their first game in regulation?
Vegas's next game is on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames. Currently, the Flames are 1-2-0, where their only win is a 4-3 shutout against their provincial rivals, the Edmonton Oilers. While Vegas hasn't played up to its standards against lower-level competition this season, Calgary still hasn't done much on its own.
Dustin Wolf has started the season with a GAA of 3.99 and a save percentage of .865. So far, he hasn't done much to provide a stable in-net presence for the Flames. But that isn't the only problem with Calgary.
You're also looking at an anemic scoring group when compared to Vegas. Matt Coronato is the team's leader in points (three) and goals (two). Compare that to players like Jack Eichel (two goals and five assists) and Pavel Dorofeyev (five goals) and you see a unit hurting for goals. Granted, Vegas has had a weighted attack geared towards Eichel, Dorofeyev, and Mark Stone (five assists). Still, you can't deny that Vegas's group looks much better, especially on the power play.
I would also say the Boston Bruins since they play the Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena. However, the Bruins are 3-0-0 to start the season. This could be a trickier game for Vegas to manage, specifically with Jeremy Swayman and David Pastrnak being their usual dominant selves. Besides, Vegas plays Calgary again on Saturday, bringing the action to T-Mobile Arena.
Don't be surprised if the Golden Knights get their first regulation win against Calgary in the upcoming week. You can't expect a team to go another week without getting a regulation win. That would be simply unbelievable and impossible. But hey, that's been the Golden Knights' journey throughout their history.
Almost like watching a play with Mitch Marner's genderbent doppelganger.
