Merry Christmas from Vegas Hockey Knight, Vegas Golden Knights fans! The long weekend is nearly upon us, which means we can relax from our stressful lives and enjoy the best gifts around. That includes the Golden Knights walloping the San Jose Sharks while being a competitive hockey team (as always).
When you have solid superstars such as Jack Eichel, Mitch Marner, and Mark Stone, life is better than you think. You're blessed with the best players on the planet and are constantly in the hunt for a Stanley Cup. In fact, you can compare your situation to teams such as the Seattle Kraken and the Buffalo Sabres and see how great life can be.
Not only that, but you don't have to shovel snow in Las Vegas. If you do, it'll just melt away the very next day. So, don't worry about it and just let Mother Nature take its course (sounds like a bathroom advertisement, if you ask me). The triple-digit weather will be here soon enough, meaning that everything will melt away anyways.
So, what's the whole point of this? Well, first, enjoy the time off. It's not often that our weekends start on Thursday, of all days. The long weekends are always appreciated, especially when we're in a "work-first, ask questions later" sort of society. Therefore, appreciate the sports, specifically the hockey games happening.
Second, enjoy your time with loved ones. How often do you see loved ones as a Golden Knights fan? Some of us are fortunate enough to have family members around, with whom we can talk when things aren't going as we expect them to. Take the time to call them and let them know how you're doing today. Most of all, tell them that you love them.
