Wednesday's "Golden Knights" wisdom about... being sick

It's a good thing that I was sick because I didn't have to truck through another Golden Knights loss.

Yesterday wasn't the best St. Patrick's Day for people in Las Vegas. First, the United States baseball team lost in the World Baseball Classic Final to Venezuela, 3-2. Watching Aaron Judge be as unclutch as Connor McDavid is one of the most painful experiences around.

But that's not all. The Vegas Golden Knights lost to the Buffalo Sabres, 2-0. Getting shut out on St. Patrick's Day is certainly no luck of the Irish, especially against a red-hot Sabres team. I mean, who would've thought that Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen would get a shutout against the Golden Knights?

Not me, which is what made it worse. Yet, that wasn't even the worst part. The seasons are changing, which means that those dreaded allergies are coming in. In turn, moi gets sick and can barely move without feeling the aches in my bones.

Here's some advice for dealing with sickness as a Vegas Golden Knights fan

First, get plenty of water and cough syrup in your system. You need to clean out your system and breathe out of your nose again. Otherwise, you're in deep trouble and you won't remember what breathing felt like. That's never fun, believe me.

Second, sleep, sleep, sleep. I got 13 hours of sleep last night and felt better as a result. Granted, I'm not 100% yet. But I don't feel like a ghost that's floating in my own body now (boy, does that sound scary).

Finally, get plenty of antibiotics. My dad would always give me these to combat various illnesses, helping me heal up. That always does wonders for recovering and feeling better, especially since I'm 35 years old now.

All of these things should help you feel better with whatever you're battling (although heed carefully because I'm no doctor). Most importantly, sleep, sleep, sleep. That will help you become better in no time.
