With college football back in full swing, it's time to look at... college logos. Ahh, the timeless classics of a tough-looking animal sauntering towards you can never be beat. Imagine if Chance of the Vegas Golden Knights got the Tar Heel makeover.
Speaking of Tar Heels, a hockey team from the Tar Heel State got said makeover in a Wednesday reveal. While their alternate uniforms make you think of Mountain Dew's Code Red drinks, the logo looks... perfect for North Carolina.

You see, the Tar Heel State is well-versed in colleges, specifically college basketball. With prominent programs such as Duke and North Carolina, it's easy to see why the correlation would apply here.
It's something that people from the Meadowlands or California wouldn't necessarily understand since college sports isn't as big in these territories. Yet, it fits here and represents Tar Heel culture perfectly.
Can you imagine if Chance got a hotel logo makeover? It would go over pretty well with the public (granted, it's not the Circus Circus logo) and represent Las Vegas's culture well. It would take the NHL logo game to the next level, akin to what the Fightin' Soo-Eee is doing here.
Go to a Runnin' Rebels game whenever you can (that is, when the Golden Knights aren't playing)
Back in 2017, I went to a UNLV Runnin' Rebels game with my dad at ol' Sam Boyd Stadium. UNLV was playing against the San Jose State Spartans in a Mountain West Conference clash. It was eyeopening to see college football out west.
Holy crap! I couldn't believe that this was life in the western part of the United States.
After being sheltered in the Midwest for almost three decades, it was a part of why I moved out here. Oh, and the UNLV logo was pretty awesome.
While those days are long-gone as the Rebels are now at Allegiant Stadium, the logo still stands out. It should also be a reminder to take a look at college logos of old. That way, you can see a simpler time where things didn't have a complex set of rules to their existence.
After all, that's what we're all here for, right? Life can be so stressful with bills, jobs, and kids running around like crazy. Why not appreciate the finer things in life like a badger, a Golden Knights gila monster, or a mascot from North Carolina sauntering towards you?
