Over the first nine seasons of Golden Knights hockey, 1,444 different NHL players have suited up against Vegas. While Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers often dominate the headlines, it's actually the Los Angeles Kings who have given the Golden Knights the most trouble, posting a 19-18-3 record through 40 meetings.
Despite the Golden Knights' intense rivalry with Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers, he has yet to record 40 points against the club. Heading into the 2026-27 season, six players have tallied 30 or more points against Vegas, but only one future Hall of Famer has scored more than 40 points.
Today, we discuss the top 10 players with the most points against the Golden Knights.
Alex Iafallo (28 points)
37GP - 10G - 18A - 28PTS
In nine years, Alex Iafallo has yet to reach 20 goals in a season, but averages 15 per campaign. Much of his success against Vegas came during his six seasons with the Kings, though he scored two goals against the Golden Knights as a member of the Winnipeg Jets on October 19, 2023.
Mikael Backlund (28 points)
30GP - 11G - 17A - 28PTS

One of four long-time captains on this list, Mikael Backlund has spent his entire 18-year career with the Calgary Flames. In 30 games against the Golden Knights, he has 11 goals and 28 points, with those totals accounting for 4% of his career goals and points.
Kevin Fiala (28 points)
32GP - 12G - 16A - 28PTS
Kevin Fiala has spent his entire NHL career in the Western Conference, with stops in Nashville, Minnesota, and now Los Angeles. In just four seasons in Hollywood, he’s already tallied six goals against Vegas, which was his combined total with the Predators and Wild. As a routine 20-goal scorer, Fiala has quickly become a thorn in the side of Vegas fans, including his second career hat trick on January 7, 2023.
Kyle Connor (29 points)
23GP - 13G - 16A - 29PTS
Kyle Connor is the only skater on this list who hasn’t faced the Golden Knights in at least 25 games. As a multi-time 30- and 40-goal scorer, he is one of the game’s best pure scorers, with seven hat tricks in the past seven seasons. Surprisingly, Connor has already compiled 10 multi-point efforts against Vegas.
Nathan MacKinnon (30 points)
31GP - 8G - 22A - 30PTS

At just 30 years old, Nathan MacKinnon has already built himself a Hall of Fame resume. As the NHL’s reigning Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy winner, many would expect the Colorado Avalanche captain to have more goals against Vegas. Still, he appears on this list with the fewest. However, MacKinnon has five two-assist games against the Golden Knights in his career, including two in 2019 and one each in 2021, 2024, and 2025.
Ryan O’Reilly (30 points)
30GP - 15G - 15A - 30PTS
Ryan O’Reilly has won a Stanley Cup and a Conn Smythe Trophy throughout his 17-year career. Outside of brief stints in Buffalo and Toronto, he’s been a Western Conference player, spending most of the last decade with St. Louis and Nashville. Right now, O’Reilly enters the 2026-27 season with the second-most goals against the Golden Knights. In 30 games, he’s scored two goals in a single game versus Vegas in 2017, 2018, and 2022.
Adrian Kempe (32 points)
40GP - 11G - 21A - 32PTS
At 29, Adrian Kempe has quietly become one of Vegas' biggest headaches, recording nine multi-point games against the Golden Knights. As a long-time member of the Kings, it's no surprise he picks up his game against the Golden Knights.
Leon Draisaitl (34 points)
28GP - 14G - 20A - 34PTS
Leon Draisaitl is one of two Oilers near the top of the list, along with his running buddy McDavid. As arguably the greatest German-born player in NHL history, he is one of his generation’s top point producers. He is also one of the few players to score a playoff hat trick against Vegas, which he did on May 3, 2023. Finally, Draisaitl enters the 2026-27 season as one of three active players with more than 10 multi-point games against the Golden Knights, with 11.
Connor McDavid (37 points)
27GP - 12G - 25A - 37PTS

At this point in his career, McDavid needs no introduction to fans across the NHL, including those in Sin City. As a regular-season and playoff nemesis, the Oilers captain is closing in on the record for most points against the Golden Knights. Although he's widely regarded as the best player in the world, McDavid leads all active players with 12 multi-point efforts against Vegas.
Anze Kopitar (44 points)
39GP - 16G - 28A - 44PTS
Anze Kopitar is the Kings' all-time leading scorer with 1,316 points, with 44 of them coming against the Golden Knights. On Oct. 14, 2021, he became the first player to score five points in a single game against Vegas, a feat only matched by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (2023) and Logan Cooley (2025). Despite only 11 multi-point games on his resume, Kopitar was long a pest for the Golden Knights, but his points record may not stand much longer since he announced his retirement at the conclusion of last season.
