Happy Fourth of July, Vegas Golden Knights fans! It's the perfect day to celebrate freedom, burgers, American football, and everything that makes this country the dynamic power that it is today. Oh, and you can't forget James Brown.
Brown always knows how to feed the soul. Him and Carl Weathers are an undefeated combo.
Anyways, there's no better time to celebrate America's birthday than now. It's the 250th edition of freedom and you only get to celebrate it once. Break out those hot dogs and meat (I had a juicy steak today and it was to die for).
You also get to watch... soccer? I mean, it would make more sense if you were getting the United States on its birthday. But you're getting France and your Northern neighbors, instead. Oh well.
Anyways, let's talk about the Golden Knights in this edition and honor three American heroes. These three have done everything in their power to ensure that America becomes a hockey superpower, whether it's with a Stanley Cup or by winning a gold medal.
3.) Noah Hanifin
Hanifin represented the United States during the 2026 Olympic gold medal run and played solid defense. He's also Jack Eichel's Boston buddy, which makes him a patriot by proxy of Beantown. Give a Thunderbird salute to the one-and-only Hanifin!
2.) Mark Stone
Okay, so he's not American. He's Canadian and hails from Winnipeg. But the Captain has done his American duty by bringing the Golden Knights—an American team—a Stanley Cup and keeping it away from Canada.
Plus, he's done extraordinarily well with the Golden Knights, scoring 136 goals and 260 assists during his eight-year Vegas residency. Where would Vegas be without its honorary American, Mark Stone? Probably watching Edmonton win a Stanley Cup, which is something no real American wants.
1.) Jack Eichel
Olympic gold medalist.
Stanley Cup champion.
Franchise leader in single-season points and assists.
What more could you want from Jack Eichel as an American hero? The Boston native has done it all for the Golden Knights and continues to shine when called upon. Give this man some bacon and a bald eagle.
