Have any of you taken the chance to see the Statue of Liberty? It's such a majestic thing to behold, especially since the French gave us that as a gift and a symbol of internationa friendship. Such a kind gesture from the French, eh?
But that's not what I'm here to talk about. I'm also here to talk about where the Statue of Liberty is located: New York. As voted by you guys, I'm taking a little trip to the Big Apple to take in all three teams within the area. We're talking about the New York Rangers, the New York Islanders, and the New Jersey Devils.
There are many reasons why I'm looking forward to taking this trip later. For one, New York is a city that I've never tackled. What better way to get a new experience in than by going to the Empire State? But it goes merely beyond trying something new.
Why I'm looking forward to traveling to New York whether it's to watch the Vegas Golden Knights or not
Full disclosure: I've never been to the Northeastern part of the United States in my entire life. In fact, the furthest east I've been to in the United States has been Surf City, North Carolina (yes, I had to use Google Maps to figure out where it was located). Therefore, this will be an interesting trip to take.
I have an AirBnb set up in Brooklyn and won't be using the car system. Instead, I plan on going via subway, which is an absolute rarity in the United States. Like, aren't we supposed to travel everywhere via vehicle and pollute the air? I thought that was an American ideal?
In all seriousness, I'm heading to New York for Saturday Night's Main Event, which will feature... Danhausen! That's right, Knightshausens. Our supreme overlord will grace his very presence at Madison Square Garden and be thanked for helping the New York Knicks win the NBA Championship.
Yes, I will be going a little bit early. But it's to incorporate this experience into the article. That way, I can get a feel for Madison Square Garden and what it offers from a fan's perspective. Be warned: it's like the Montreal trip in that it's fairly expensive to take on.
Still, I'm excited to check out New York and the neighboring areas as a hockey fan this season. I'm thrilled to take in a new experience and see what the Big Apple has to offer! Sometimes in life, you need to make a massive jump and try something as big as... an Empire.
