"In the jungle,
The mighty jungle,
The lion sleeps tonight
..."

That seems to be Kelly McCrimmon's theme as the Vegas Golden Knights' general manager. He's always in on the biggest names in the business, whether it's Dylan Larkin, Connor Hellebuyck, or Mitch Marner. Man, it's good to be the king, eh?

Well, guess what, dear reader? McCrimmon was in on yet another big name, with Brady Tkachuk being in the crosshairs. Pierre LeBrun of the Athletic was the first to report the news, as he listed the Stanley Cup champions, the Carolina Hurricanes, and the Minnesota Wild as other interested suitors.

If you don't know the other Tkachuk brother, he's had an illustrious career with the Senators before being traded to the Florida Panthers. Last season, he scored 22 goals and 37 assists in 60 games and added a gold medal in the process. He has 213 goals and 250 assists in eight seasons, making him one of the league's rising stars.

As usual, it shouldn't surprise anyone that McCrimmon was in on yet another superstar. He has a penchant for selling people on the attractiveness of the Las Vegas lifestyle, making it a great place for the NHL's best players. No income tax and no cold winters? What more could you want?

What's more, Bill Foley and the Golden Knights want to win. That means doing away with vestigial parts to improve the team, whether it's offloading Adin Hill or other aging players. That's what keeps the Golden Knights consistently in the hunt, making them the envy of the NHL.

Hey, haters gonna hate, as they say. The lion sleeps in the jungle as he awaits word on another big name to drop in the market. Don't ever sleep on McCrimmon because the lion is bound to pounce on a big name to make his team better.

"In the jungle,
The mighty jungle,
The lion sleeps tonight."
