Sunday thoughts about... waiting for the SCF

They say that waiting is the hard part. That's certainly the case for this Golden Knights fan.

Do you want to know what sucks the most about having a week of no Vegas Golden Knights hockey? No, it's not an overbearing security person who are too invested in their job. It's not having the Golden Knights around after they swept the Colorado Avalanche.

Like, why does it have to be so long to wait for such a thing? I want my Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup Final now. Why can't I have my cake and eat it, too? Life can be unfair at times.

Still, you have your practices and the scrimmages to look forward to. You can get the appetizers before indulging in the main course. Maybe that main course will be so appetizing that it'll lead to a Toshiba Plaza celebration in June. Perhaps it'll be so bad that it'll invoke a product liability lawsuit against the NHL. Who knows?

Whatever the case, the Golden Knights better bring it. They don't want to file that lawsuit and want to see their fans happy. That's especially true with me, who's seen this city flourish after the tragic events of October 1, 2017.

And which team helped them heal during those dark times? Why, that'd be the Vegas Golden Knights, who've done everything in their power to field a competitive team. Lo and behold, they get three Stanley Cup Final appearances, a Stanley Cup, and a playoff appearance in every season except one. Man, I can't wait for the Stanley Cup Final now. Let's make it No. 2, eh?
