Who will the Vegas Golden Knights re-sign?

A better question for the Vegas Golden Knights is if they can re-sign any of their unrestricted free agents. There's the obvious answers such as Michael Amadio, who won't break the bank and bring scoring to the lower lines. They could also bring back William Carrier for essentially the same reasons with added checking power, although Vegas would hope he stays healthier.

However, there's one man that will be the main focus for the Golden Knight this summer. No, it's not Anthony Mantha. It's Jonathan Marchessault, who's a former Conn Smythe winner and scored 42 goals this season. Everyone knows the story around No. 81, but there's more dramatic consequences if he doesn' t get re-signed.

If he doesn't return, Vegas will miss a key goal scorer on their top lines. That's especially true on the power play, where the team has historically struggled. Whether they have enough money to bring back their beloved "Misfit" remains to be seen. However, they must pivot to other options on the market if they can't bring back Jonathan Marchessault.
