The Vegas Golden Knights have no shortage of offensively talented players. That's why fans should expect these three players to shatter the single-season assists record.

Mark Stone

Like Jack Eichel, Mark Stone will reap the benefits of having Tomas Hertl on the power play unit for a full season. Stone was formally the guy who would do the dirty work in front of the goaltender, trying to deflect and redirect pucks. Now that the Czech forward will play for a full season, that leaves the Captain freed up to set his teammates up.

That should also help him health-wise, for he's dealt with numerous injuries in the past few seasons. That includes a freak spleen injury and back problems, limiting the forward's time. Of course, that has also led to numerous LTIR jokes and "circumventing the cap." However, lacerating your spleen is serious business, where it could even lead to a life-or-death situation.

Regardless, Stone's projected to be on the second line, where he's surrounded by scoring talent. At the start of training camp, it consisted of the upstart Pavel Dorofeyev and William Karlsson. If that line holds, it could be one of the most influential lines of the 2024-25 season, giving the Golden Knights plenty of ammunition. He could also play alongside Hertl on the second line, which will add more size to the unit.
