3 Vegas Golden Knights stars that should run for President

On Sunday, Joe Biden dropped out of the U.S. Presidential race. Here are three Vegas Golden Knights stars that should make a run (and would in a perfect world).

On Sunday, Joe Biden officially dropped out of his re-election campaign, paving the way for a new Democratic nominee for President of the United States. Numerous people came forward to endorse his Vice President, Kamala Harris, potentially paving the way for her to run. The news has shaken up the political world, leaving both sides to process the news.

Now this isn't a political website in any way, shape, or form. This is dedicated entirely to the Vegas Golden Knights and everything happening with the team, whether it's the juiciest rumors or news pieces happening with the team. This website doesn't endorse any political candidates... Unless it's a member of the Golden Knights. Names like Jack Eichel, Noah Hanifin, and even Adin Hill deserve a nod for the nomination.

Therefore, let's have some fun with this and make some changes for this scenario. First, let's throw out the rule that all presidential candidates must be natural-born citizens of the United States. Instead, let's only include Canadian-born citizens in the mix and show love to our northern neighbors (sorry, Arnold). Let's also lower the age limit for this scenario and make it 25 years old. That way, Golden Knights fans can have fun with this. Same thing with the U.S. residency for 14 years. Let's cut that to six.

Now, some people will complain about this writing because everyone loves to argue and moan these days. It's become part of the societal zeitgeist to whine about anything that inconveniences someone. Again, this article isn't endorsing anybody for U.S. President... unless it's these three Vegas Golden Knights stars.

Mark "O Captain, my Captain" Stone

The reason why the "natural-born citizen" rule makes an exception for Canadian-born citizens in this scenario is for cases like Mark Stone. The Captain hails from Winnipeg, but the U.S. is a constantly changing landscape. Therefore, he'll probably get a chance to run in the future anyway.

In the meantime, Stone has displayed excellent leadership on and off the ice, becoming the organization's face. Last season, he scored 16 goals and 37 assists, despite playing in 56 games. He's still a productive player despite his past injury history, adding a spark to the offense. As for his off-the-ice work, he's done numerous charity events, including Battle For Vegas.

A team captain deserves the incredible honor of being the U.S. President, even if he comes from Winnipeg. If he were the "Leader of the Free World," one policy that he would probably put in is free spinal work and spleen checks. Both organs are vital for living and Stone knows how important those organs are. Therefore, he'd make a slight healthcare change for the country's sake.

Adin "King of the" Hill

The Canadian-born citizen exception also applies to Adin Hill, who comes from British Columbia. The goaltender has made his mark with the Vegas Golden Knights, making tremendous stops and keeping the Golden Knights in games. Therefore, Nevadans can count on Hill to stop adversaries in foreign affairs. Of course, he hasn't been 100% in recent years like Mark Stone, so he must serve his term full-time.

Still, that doesn't stop the goaltender from coming through in the clutch. Golden Knights fans will use this breathtaking stop on Nick Cousins as a perfect example. It swung the momentum in Vegas's favor and led them to the Stanley Cup.

Saves like this show Hill can handle the pressure of being the U.S. President. He's cool under the bright lights and makes big saves when needed. That's why Bruce Cassidy has relied on him more in the past year, for he's able to come through when the team needs him. As far as his signature policy, it'd be keeping Edmonton Oiler fans out of the country. It would only be Oiler fans, for the Golden Knights have developed a nice rivalry with Edmonton in recent years.

Jack "Of all trades" Eichel

The first two candidates aren't from the United States, which means they'd be disqualified from running for U.S. President in real life (sorry, Adin Hill and Mark Stone). However, this next candidate comes from Massachusetts, a hotbed for past U.S. leaders. That includes John Quincy Adams and John Adams. Jack Eichel would continue the legacy of Massachusetts-born leaders.

Another reason why he'd be great is he gets the job done. He scores goals, boosts the power play, and is an on-ice leader. There's not enough words to describe how much the former second-overall pick means to the Golden Knights. Without him, the offense doesn't run the same, especially with this season's roster running a little bit lighter.

Besides, Eichel's running mate would be an obvious pick. Noah Hanifin has been best friends with the former Sabre since childhood and the two would run the country effortlessly. Maybe participating in the 4 Nations Faceoff will lead to a presidential run?

Anyways, the one policy that Eichel would install would be for people to take the week off after the Stanley Cup Finals end. Surprisingly, the United States doesn't do this with the Super Bowl. Therefore, it gives the NHL a grand opportunity to instill a new policy. Perhaps Eichel can bring such a change to the country.

BONUS: Phil "The Thrill" Kessel

Now, Phil Kessel hasn't been with the Vegas Golden Knights in over a year. His last stop consisted of winning the Stanley Cup in Las Vegas, adding that with his Iron Man streak during that season. However, seeing Kessel run for the presidency would be exciting.

The funny thing is he can actually run in real life. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin (a natural-born citizen like Jack Eichel), he's 36 years old and has probably been in the United States for more than 14 years. Therefore, he should probably consider running in the future. He would generate hundreds of thousands of votes and become a huge name.

Besides, he'd probably put a free hot dog policy in place, ending American hunger. That would gradually boost his poll numbers and make him an overnight sensation. Seriously, why isn't the United States pushing out Phil Kessel to run for the presidency right now? The country needs him more than ever!
