Mitch Marner has heard it all from the haters. They always talk about how he chokes in Games 5 through 7 and how he doesn't perform (that's what she said). I mean, that's not true, especially this season.
The Vegas Golden Knights' superstar leads the NHL in postseason points (16) and entered Thursday's contest one goal shy of the lead. Well, it seems that he's tied for first with this absolute beauty in Game 6.

...And let's see how Toronto Maple Leafs fans are taking this ridiculous goal, shall we?
It's a hard-knock life for Maple Leafs fans. Oh well, at least you'll (possibly) have Bruce Cassidy to soothe your troubles, eh? By the way, be sure to share that with your friends who hate Mitch Marner's guts. They might hate him from the Toronto suburbs, like Markham.
Anyways, you can tell that Marner is desperate to shed those postseason demons. He pulls off a bonkers shot that undresses Lukas Dostal while getting the jump on the Ducks early.
But wait! There's more! He also gave Brett Howden his third shorthanded goal of the postseason, putting the Golden Knights up, 2-0. That's right, dear reader. Howden has three shorthanded goals with Marner assisting on all of them.
Regardless, you have to admit that this is becoming a statement game for Marner. People want to chide the former "Core Four" member for not performing in Game 5 or later. However, he's disposing of those demons with an emphatic performance, scoring breathtaking goals and using the power kill to his advantage. Let's hear those excuses, Marner haters!!
