Where will Jack Eichel finish in the points category in 2025-26? He's got a new buddy in tow, which could help his total. But it goes beyond that.

2025-26 is a big year for Jack Eichel. He's in a contract year and is coming off a career season with the Vegas Golden Knights. All things are coming up Eichel as the 4 Nations Face-Off megastar looks to cash in on his stardom.

Believe it or not, the fans want him to stay instead of bringing in a star like Connor McDavid. He's become a central part of the community, whether it's playing in the annual Battle 4 Vegas or volunteering for a shift at Raising Cane's.

What a wholesome guy. I'm surprised people in upstate New York hate his guts.

Like his new buddy, Mitch Marner, we're going to look at how many points the Golden Knights superstar will get. It's becoming a new tradition where we evaluate the biggest Golden Knights stars and see where they'll fall in the upcoming season.

You know it's coming. You know what the question will be. How many points will Vegas's beloved franchise player get? What factors could hamper (or help) his ability to get countless points?

What could affect Jack Eichel's 2025-26 season?

Last season was the best season for Eichel on many levels. First, he set a career-high (and a franchise record) in points with 94. Second, he played 77 games and avoided major injuries throughout the season. That second part is critical for the former Hobey Baker's success in the upcoming season.

There's also that dreaded contract situation that looms large. Will that be a distraction? Can Kelly McCrimmon get a deal done before the 2025-26 regular season starts? Fans are worried that not having a deal done could be a distraction heading into the regular season.

If McCrimmon gets a deal done? The pressure's off the franchise. If not? Well, things could be dicey. Granted, the general manager has done contract extensions during the regular season before. However, some fans are worried that this deal would trump the other extensions done by McCrimmon.

Jack Eichel will score 91 points this season

Eichel's 94-point campaign was astonishing for many reasons. One, it finally set the tone for a franchise player to take over the Golden Knights. Along the way came broken franchise records and a new on-ice threat.

Two, fans finaly saw what the former second-overall pick could do in a full(ish) season. Playing 77 games showed that Eichel can compete with the best players and make his teammates better.

Mix in Mitch Marner for the season and you'll see more of the same in a healthy season. The 4 Nations Face-Off superstar should function well with his new line buddy, creating countless scoring opportunities off the rush.

That could mean great things for the Golden Knights in 2025-26, especially since they need more two-way juice. Yes, I know that it's funny to say, considering that's the team's identity. However, when you have a slew of 30-somethings on the roster, you need players in their prime or younger.

With a looming contract, the Golden Knights need him to continue that production to win another Stanley Cup. If he duplicates his dynamic 2024-25 season, he'll get his money's worth with the Golden Knights (or whoever he signs with). Now that would be something you could take to the bank.
