Vegas Golden Knights fans have made that one line from Jack Eichel literal gospel. He's sitting there in the office, chilling with Mitch Marner. They're talking about working from home and how Marner missed it. Then, Eichel chimes in with an all-time zinger.

Ah, memories. The iconic "I work great from home" hits me hard every time. I need that on a loop whenever Eichel scores a big goal for the Golden Knights this season. Someone should put that delivery in a museum for future generations to see and listen to.
But in all seriousness, Eichel's return on January 2nd against the St. Louis Blues didn't feel like home. Instead, it felt like a literal nightmare as the superstar center didn't register a single point. That resulted in a terrible 4-3 loss, leaving fans concerned about the former second-overall draft pick.
Ironically, that was the eighth time in his career that he didn't register a single point against the Blues in a game. That's a staggering number for the Golden Knights center, who's been accustomed to lighting up his opponents without breaking a sweat.
That could come into focus on January 10 against the St. Louis Blues again. Surely, the megastar center will have a bust period again, right? Certainly, he'll struggle to put up points for the Golden Knights... right? Well, there's something about that.
Jack Eichel has 10 goals and eight assists in 20 games against the St. Louis Blues
While Eichel does have eight games without points against St. Louis, he also has five games with multiple points. Four of these games have come with the Golden Knights, with the most points (three) coming on April 29, 2022. Here, Eichel had two goals and an assist.
Last season alone saw him put up back-to-back games with more than one point. Eichel had a goal and an assist each on October 11, 2024, and January 20, 2025. The Golden Knights got three points in both games, eventually grabbing a Pacific Division title along the way.
What's more is that Eichel's first five games against St. Louis were rough. The center mustered only two assists while he was with the Buffalo Sabres. Granted, Buffalo was mediocre and out of the playoff hunt at the time (still is to this day). However, Eichel found his legs playing for the Golden Knights (and partially with the Sabres) afterwards.
That meant getting 10 goals and six assists in 15 games. If Golden Knights fans want to see a three-game winning streak form, that means having the "boom" part of his career come to fruitition. Vegas can't afford a bust, especially when teams like the Seattle Kraken and the Edmonton Oilers are breathing down their necks in the Pacific Division.
