Would you walk 500 miles to see the Vegas Golden Knights? Would you walk 500 more to see them win the Stanley Cup? Make your proclamation now because hockey returns next month!
Anyway, the Vegas Golden Knights will have a busy schedule this season. That includes 14 road trips, which will serve them well during the season. However, one notable aspect will have the Golden Knights on their heels heading into October.
A study by Bookies revealed that the Golden Knights will travel the eighth-most miles in the 2025-26 season, clocking in at 46,916.60 miles. Of course, this isn't anything abnormal among Western Conference teams, with the Edmonton Oilers having the toughest travel schedule with 54,425.60 miles.
The major kicker is the time zones. Vegas will travel through the most time zones in 2025-26 with 52, leaving them well-traveled throughout the year. That includes short stints in places like Dallas (March 10) and brief stops in St Louis (November 15) and Minnesota (November 16).
One month that could hamper the Vegas Golden Knights has three road trips
Remember when we talked about January being the roughest month for the Vegas Golden Knights? It wasn't just from a historical standpoint, though. Pavel Dorofeyev and the boys have three road trips in this month, making life incredibly rough.
That includes an East Coast trip where they'll play against teams like the Boston Bruins, the Montreal Canadiens, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. That's not even mentioning the early Central Time Zone trip where they'll face the St. Louis Blues and the Winnipeg Jets.
Once again, that month could be extraordinarily rough from a travel standpoint. Being jet-lagged as you head back to T-Mobile Arena is never fun, after all. You're lagging and don't know where the heck you are, leaving your opponents to skate laps around you.
That's also why it's paramount to get off to a fast start. That way (say it with me, class), you have a strong cushion heading into the rough months and can take the brunt of the damage head-on.
That shouldn't deter Dorofeyev's crew from taking on the NHL universe, though. The guys have a revenge tour to get on. It won't mean going 82-0-0 (although that would be nice). But having that cushion helps you thrive in the long run.
