Vegas Golden Knights fans noticed a familiar face playing for a divisional rival. Does this affect the fandom moving forward?

Remember when Ryan Reaves fought that awful person, Evander Kane, when Reaves was a part of the Vegas Golden Knights? He cemented himself as a true Golden Knights legend by saying he hated many players on the San Jose Sharks, certifying himself within the Las Vegas community.

Well, it appears things have gone full circle. Reaves was traded to the Sharks for defenseman Henry Thrun. If you recall, the 38-year-old was one of two players who talked with Mitch Marner about life in Las Vegas (the other was Max Pacioretty). Lo and behold, the "Core Four" member comes to Sin City in a sign-and-trade for Nicolas Roy.

Thank you, Reavo!

As for the newest Shark, he's well-known for being a physical enforcer in the Golden Knights lineup. He has 837 hits during his four seasons in Vegas and 3,065 overall. He also chipped in 18 goals and 24 assists, making him a bona fide fourth-line player.

Will this change the fan's perception of Ryan Reaves as he plays for the San Jose Sharks?

Let's be honest here. Despite not scoring many goals for the Vegas Golden Knights, Reaves has earned his stripes with the franchise. He took on villains such as Evander Kane, setting them straight in fights. Whenever Vegas needed someone to avenge a fallen player, Reavo was there to save the day.

Even as he goes to a division rival, he paid his dues. Therefore, he deserves a bit of a break here. He'll still be hanging around the franchise, playing at the Battle 4 Vegas annually and doing other Vegas things.

Besides, it would've been a big deal if he went to Edmonton and acted as Connor McDavid's bodyguard. But he's on a rebuilding team in the Sharks, so it makes things much more bearable. Sure, you'll hear the delusions from some guy named Josh about the move. But does it really matter in the end?

As long as he doesn't turn like Hulk Hogan in WCW, everything will be good. Here's to another chapter for the former Golden Knights enforcer. I look forward to seeing you at the Battle 4 Vegas on Saturday!
