Bruce Cassidy has revealed his thoughts about his current "interview" situation involving the Golden Knights. Here's what he said.

Bruce Cassidy has been involved in some controversy with the Vegas Golden Knights. No, it isn't leaking any risque photos of Kelly McCrimmon (nobody wants to see that, trust me). Instead, it involves which NHL teams can interview him (i.e., the Edmonton Oilers, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Los Angeles Kings).

It's no secret that the Golden Knights prefer that he stay away from the Pacific Division, especially if it's being linked to Connor McDavid. However, Cassidy appears dissatisfied with the current situation. He expressed his thoughts on Spittin' Chiclets and talked about the current situation with the Golden Knights.

"It’s upsetting…There was two teams that asked it’s public knowledge now, and I would like to talk to them. I want to go to work. I’m a hockey coach."

People were waiting on the Stanley Cup winner's thoughts and got it. Some were surprised, considering that he achieved so much with Vegas. Others weren't as surprised because, well, it's the Golden Knights.

They're supposed to be the bad guys who are extremely cutthroat. They've done away with players like Marc-Andre Fleury and fired Gerard Gallant shortly after taking Vegas to the Stanley Cup Final. But there isn't much more to be said about the situation, especially with what the experts are saying.

Vegas Golden Knights fans can point back to Elliotte Friedman's comments about the Bruce Cassidy situation as an example of why they shouldn't worry

Let's go back to what Elliotte Friedman recently said about the whole Cassidy situation, shall we? Amidst the outcry and uproar from the crowd that seems to always be angry, the NHL insider talked about the situation and how there isn't much that the NHL could do.

That means the Golden Knights have the right to deny permission to teams as they please. As long as they're paying him a salary, there isn't much that the NHL can do (nor should they do) about it. While the outrage crowd can kick and scream because they're not getting access to a particular head coach, the NHL won't touch this issue.

They shouldn't, either. There's a common misconception that the Golden Knights cheat all the time, whether it's with the salary cap or withholding interviews for head coaches. Yet, the NHL doesn't punish Vegas on these issues. In fact, they've only punished the Golden Knights for John Tortorella not making himself available for the media (that's a problem for other reasons).

So, why are fans still outraged over this? Well, they'll take Cassidy's comments here and use them as fuel. They'll talk about how the Stanley Cup winner is being held hostage like Princess Peach being held prisoner by Bowser. Plus, people love being angry little trolls in the news outrage cycle.

Still, other fans will pick this apart and say that the Golden Knights are the villains here. Oh well, there are more important things going on that matter for Vegas. I'm thinking that shooting for a second Stanley Cup would be far more important, no?
