The playlist for Montreal

For a historic franchise, you need something that hits hard and matches the relaxed vibe. For me, these artists do the trick, whether they're from Montreal or they fit the overall vibe of the city.

Megadeth

This is a no-brainer for the Golden Knights fan traveling to Montreal. It feels heavy and punishing like the Canadiens teams of old, administering painful hits to opponents. You can come up with a laundry list of songs that you could play to rock out to here.

Personally, I love "Sweating Bullets," "Angry Again," "Tout Le Monde," and, of course, "Symphony of Destruction." If you want something that feels like "rough and tumble" Canadiens hockey, the list should always start with Megadeth.

Priestess

One local band that you must have on the list is Priestess. It's an easygoing stoner band that has a laid-back style to its game. Songs like "Talk To Her," "Lay Down," and "Lady Killer" are perfect for getting ready for a Saturday night at Bell Centre.

The Offspring

Now, whenever I think of The Offspring, I think of internet figure, Felipe Carvalho. Some people have called him the literal embodiment of a song by The Offspring, with his bleached hair and protruding jaw line.

Luckily, Carvalho is a renowned Miami Dolphins fan. Still, you want to listen to "Original Prankster," "Come Out And Play," "Why Don't You Get A Job," and "Self Esteem" to get into the Canadiens mood. The brash style fits Montreal perfectly, given that the team's history has featured some heavy hitters.

Muse

Now, if you're looking for a more mellow mood like Priestess, Muse is right for you. The English rock band has notable hits such as "Hysteria," "Madness," and "Knights of Cydonia," setting a vibe for a chill night for everyone.

AFI

AFI is the ultimate hockey band. They have hits that simply fit the hockey scene, with some songs even making for good goal horns. That's why I highly recommend "Miss Murder," "The Boy Who Destroyed The World," and "Silver And Cold." That way, you feel like you're playing something straight from EA's NHL series.
