Ladies and gentlemen, the NHL schedule has been released. It's time to plan your trips accordingly and get ready for the 2025-26 season. Before you know it, we'll all be on the "Gold Carpet," ushering in the stars of the Vegas Golden Knights.
In the meantime, it's time to endure the triple-digit heat and keep your dangly parts from sticking. Drink your water and be sure to keep yourself cool because the sun is your enemy for the next two months.
Yeah, that sounds about right.
Anyways, let's celebrate the schedule being released. I already have four road trips marked on my calendar and I'm excited for the upcoming season. But what about the homestand? What about watching the Golden Knights play?
Well, dear reader, five games come to mind. That's right. FIVE. We're going big for the next season and seeing which dates are worth checking out.
Some of these will be reunion games with familiar faces. Some will be revenge games from last season. Some could even be previews of a Stanley Cup Final. Let's avoid the heat and envision going to these five games.
1.) Florida Panthers: November 10
Fans will always enjoy a Stanley Cup Final rematch between these two teams. It's highly competitive hockey that features balanced lines and underrated goaltending.
The last two Stanley Cup winners could face off again in a match-up with loaded star power. For the Panthers, you have the perfect anti-heroes in Brad Marchand and Matthew Tkachuk. For the Golden Knights, you have Jack Eichel and Mitch Marner.
All this goes down on a Monday night, making this better viewing than an NFL game. If you're exhausted from "big sports," why not take a break and watch this hockey game?
Oh, and Tomas Nosek is still around. Don't forget to say "hello" to him.
