First, I want to say congratulations to Jack Eichel for earning the distinct honor of being the NHLPA's Player of the Week! It's not easy leading the league in points (11) and starting a five-game point streak.

To put things into perspective, Eichel's projected to score 82 goals and 98 assists this season. That's good for 180 points. Yes, I know these projections might be outlandish, considering we merely started the season. But imagine if the elite center stays healthy for the whole 2025-26 season.
That should inspire confidence in Golden Knights fans looking for another Stanley Cup. It took getting a big name to make those dreams happen. What's more, last season proved that Eichel has what it takes to be an elite center, scoring 66 assists and 94 points. It's easy to see why the Golden Knights center earned such distinctive honors from the NHLPA.
But let's play a little game, shall we? Let's look at three other Golden Knights who deserve such honors. Obviously, the name of the game (Rhymes Like Dimes!) is not naming Eichel in the whole conversation. Instead, we're looking at three other players who've earned their keep and are destined to follow Eichel's footsteps.
You should know these names by heart by now. But if not? Well, it's time to get acquainted, dear reader.
1.) Pavel Dorofeyev
This should be an obvious choice.
Dorofeyev has been electric for the Golden Knights this season, scoring a team-high six goals. Mind you, that's also tied for the league's best with the Ottawa Senators' Shane Pinto. He's also electrified the fourth-best power play in the league (28.6%) by scoring four goals and one assist on the unit.
It's only a matter of time before the league recognizes the Russian winger's talents. He's showing that last season was no fluke, building off a promising season with another stellar campaign. Watch for Dorofeyev to take over the world.
2.) Mark Stone
Did you know that Mark Stone led the NHL in assists entering Saturday's game against the Calgary Flames? Eight of those assists were primary, making him one of the league's best facilitators. Eight!
It's no secret that Stone's capable of putting up points for the Golden Knights. Granted, the goals will come pouring in throughout the season. However, you can't deny that the Captain is destined for NHLPA Player of the Week honors. That's especially true if he picks up where he left off with his ol' linemates, Jack Eichel and Ivan Barbashev.
3.) Mitch Marner
This should be fairly obvious, too.
Like Stone, Marner doesn't have a goal yet. However, he does have six assists and is trending towards averaging more than a point per game. That could also come with the newest Golden Knight joining Dorofeyev and Tomas Hertl on the same line, creating offensive magic in the process.
Watch for Marner to firmly be in the conversation once he starts scoring goals. He's proven to be an excellent playmaker, even when his numbers aren't going up and when he had to adapt to Bruce Cassidy's changing lineups. That should be enough to earn him recognition from his peers as being the NHLPA's Player of the Week.
