With the series tied 1-1, the Golden Knights hit the road to Xcel Energy Center for Game 3 tonight against the Minnesota Wild. After needing to improve in the physicality department, the Golden Knights stepped up when they needed it most and looked very impressive in their 3-1 win in Game 2 of this Stanley Cup series.
The Golden Knights have a great opportunity tonight to set the tone for the rest of this series and start going back to their consistent ways. Hopefully, they can win tonight and head into the weekend with a 2-1 series lead to set themselves up nicely to win this series over the Wild in front of their home crowd on Monday.
Confidence breeds success as the Golden Knights need to put everything together once again as their win on Tuesday should help boost that aspect of the team. We all know the Golden Knights are great at scoring, can keep it together defensively, and can bring the heat late in hockey games. Now it’s a matter of making sure that translates to consistent results on the ice so they can leave tonight’s game victorious.
