After running the table by going 3-0-0 in the round-robin games to secure the No.1 seed, the Golden Knights will get home ice advantage in Games 1 & 2, as well as in Games 5 & 7 if necessary.
As the 8th seed the Chicago Blackhawks will get home-ice advantage in Games 3 & 4, as well as in Game 6 if required.
However, saying home-ice advantage in the current climate seems strange given that all games will be played in Edmonton, but it is what it is at this point.
But it is just good to know that Playoff hockey is finally upon us and it all begins on Tuesday as the Vegas Golden Knights go in search of their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.
Bring on Game 1!
