The Vegas Golden Knights are just one win away from winning it all. With the team being that close to winning it all, there is no better time to look at a few potential Conn Smythe Trophy candidates.

3 Golden Knights players deserving of the Conn Smythe Trophy

Each season the Conn Smythe trophy is handed out to the MVP of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Some previous winners include Victor Hedman, Cale Makar, Ryan O’Reilly and Alex Ovechkin. The Golden Knights have a ton of players who have stepped up throughout the postseason but there are a few candidates for the trophy that stand out amongst the rest.

1. Jack Eichel

Jack Eichel is one of the most deserving candidates for the Conn Smythe this postseason. He is just one point behind the team leader in points and leads the team in assists as he has created a ton of offense for his teammates.

Eichel has been electric since joining the team last season from the Buffalo Sabres. He also has a great story, not that it makes him more or less deserving of the Conn Smythe. Seeing a player win it all in their first playoff run ever, especially after missing most of last season with an injury, would make for a really deserving candidate.

2. Adin Hill

Adin Hill is another potential candidate for the Conn Smythe. Hill has played in 15 games this postseason winning 10 for the team so far. His .934 save percentage has definitely helped the team and he has been one of the best players on the ice in every game he has played.

I think Hill might not be the best candidate for the Conn Smythe, but I cannot argue he is a deserving candidate. Ever since the Golden Knights turned to him against the Edmonton Oilers, Hill has shown up and been a wall in the net.

3. Jonathan Marchessault

Marchessault is definitely the front-runner for the Conn Smythe up to this point. He leads the team in points with 24 and 13 goals. He has been with the franchise since its inaugural season and has been an instrumental voice in the locker room.

I would not be surprised if Marchessault won the Conn Smythe, it would definitely make for a cool narrative as he would be winning the trophy against his former team.

Hill, Marchessault or Eichel, any one of them could take home the Conn Smythe. Or some unbelievable performance in the coming games could lead the voters to give the trophy to a completely different player entirely, only time will tell!
