Vegas Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury got his rich rewards in the NHL Fan Awards.

The winners of the NHL Fan Choice Awards have now been revealed, and the Vegas Golden Knights had a couple of winners.

However, the main highlight is the fact that Fleury rightly won the Save of the Year for his stunning and jaw-dropping stop against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Nov. 19, 2019.

You know the save we are talking about by now but, because it was so glorious, let us rehash it again.

More from Vegas Hockey Knight

Following a breakdown in the neutral zone, Maple Leafs forward Ilya Mikheyev was allowed to skate into Golden Knights territory before ripping a shot towards goal.

The puck bounced back off the back boards and onto the stick of Nic Petan, who had a wide open net to aim for.

It looked to be a clear goal as Petan pulled the trigger, but Fleury had other ideas as he prepared to perform more heroics.

Leaping through the air just like Superman, Fleury somehow, someway got his glove up to snag the puck out of the air and prevent a certain goal.

It preserved the Golden Knights’ slender one-goal lead, and Fleury was absolutely to thank for the W that the Golden Knights went on to secure.

You can watch the save below and it literally gets better with every single angle:

It was an absolutely stunning save by Fleury so it was no surprise that it won the NHL Fan Choice Save of the Year Award by an absolute landslide.

Fleury’s heroics got 52.7% of the votes with Tuukka Rask of the Boston Bruins coming in second with 21.6% of the votes.

And Fleury’s mouthwatering save wasn’t the only winner for the Golden Knights in the 2020 NHL Fan Choice Awards.

In what was somewhat of a surprise, Chance beat out Gritty of the Philadelphia Flyers for Best Mascot, while Vegas goalie Robin Lehner was voted Best Social Media Follow with 34.6% of the votes.

T-Mobile Arena also attracted 9.5% of the votes to come in second place in the Best Building category behind Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia Flyers), while Ryan Reaves was beat out by Flyers forward Kevin Hayes in the Funniest Player category.

Overall, these are Awards are voted for by the fans and it is all meant to be a bit of fun to lighten the mood.

However, justice was done for the Vegas Golden Knights with anyone other than Marc-Andre Fleury winning the 2020 Save of the Year Award simply criminal.

Thankfully, the right man won in this instance.
