All eyes will be on the 2020 NHL All-Star Game in St. Louis this weekend and the Vegas Golden Knights will be well represented.

Max Pacioretty is in The Gateway to the West on behalf of the Vegas Golden Knights, and it is the forward’s first ever taste of the festivities.

It is shaping up to be a great weekend as the National Hockey League shows its lighter side, and this event is sure to spit out a plethora of storylines.

With a plethora of elite young talent on show over the next few days, those tuning in to events in St. Louis should be treated to a bucketload of skill and entertainment.

More from Vegas Hockey Knight

It all starts tonight with the 2020 NHL Skills Competition, before the four divisions battle against each other three-on-three on Saturday.

So, before all the fun begins, we thought we would dig out our crystal ball and make four predictions…

1. Kreider to cause upset and win Fastest Skater

The Bridgestone NHL Fastest Skater competition is always a lot of fun to watch, and this year’s event promises to be the best one yet.

For starters, Edmonton Oilers Connor McDavid will be leading the pack and, boy, can that guy move.

But, McDavid will face stiff competition with a plethora of young studs also set to take part, including the likes of Philadelphia Flyers rising star Travis Konecny and Vancouver Canucks rookie phenom Quinn Hughes.

However, we think McDavid’s biggest test could come from a relative veteran in Chris Kreider, with the New York Rangers forward appearing in his first All-Star Game.

Kreider boasts a hell of a lot of speed and that in itself is one of the power forward’s biggest weapons.

Bit of inside info here, I also cover the Rangers for FanSided and I’ve seen first hand just how quick Kreider can be, so I’m sticking my neck out here by predicting that Chris Kreider will stun Connor McDavid and the rest of the field to win this event.
