The homestand concludes for the Vegas Golden Knights who take on the Winnipeg Jets on Latino Heritage Night at T-Mobile Arena tonight.
After dropping a decision to the Montreal Canadiens in Overtime on Thursday night, the Vegas Golden Knights will be looking to finish this four-game homestand with a win to start the month of November.
The Knights resemble a version of Jekyll and Hyde at the moment, exceptional one night but the complete opposite of that the next night, and that lack of consistency needs to be eradicated if Vegas are to be serious contenders this year.
They will face a tough test against a Winnipeg team, who despite being 7-7-0, boast a plethora of firepower and can blow teams away with their abundance of offensive riches.
And they will be full of confidence heading into tonight’s matchup having beaten the San Jose Sharks 3-2 last night.

What is interesting is that Winnipeg are 5-1 in one goal games so far this year, although they are 2-6 when it is a two or more goals contest, so the Golden Knights will need to make sure they are firing on all cylinders in the offensive zone tonight.
And, another interesting battle to keep an eye on is special teams because the Jets have only scored two power play goals on the road in 2019-20, while the Golden Knights boast the second best penalty kill in the NHL.
Vegas have given up just five power play goals all year heading into tonight, while they also lead the league with four shorthanded goals.
The Knights have also been lethal on the power play through 14 games this season so, as a result, the Winnipeg Jets are going to have to stay out of the box while making sure they make their power play count should they get an opportunity on the man advantage.
As mentioned already, the Jets do boast some potent weapons on their roster and Danish forward Nikolaj Ehlers leads the way for Winnipeg with 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) through 14 games – the best start to a season in the wing’s NHL career.
Winnipeg are currently 1-1 during this three-game road trip and they will be hoping to finish this stretch with a win before returning to Bell MTS Place for a four-game homestand.
Vegas, meanwhile, will welcome Malcolm Subban back between the pipes tonight with Marc-Andre Fleury day-to-day with flu, while forward Alex Tuch is set to make his season debut after recovering from an upper-body injury suffered in preseason.
Nate Schmidt is also slated to return to the lineup following a lower-body injury that has kept him out of action since the home opener on Oct, 2, and it means that the Golden Knights will boast a full-strength lineup for the first time this year.
Both of these teams can score goals for fun so it should be a hell of a fun game to watch, but the most important thing for the Vegas Golden Knights and the Winnipeg Jets will be to add another W to the win column.
