Vegas Golden Knights are holding one last hurrah for the hockey fans of Las Vegas.
It still doesn’t feel real that this season is actually over. The Vegas Golden Knights turned a lot of heads over the course of the year. And they look to continue to do so going into the offseason.
General Manager George McPhee has a lot of work to do ahead of the offseason. Drafting new talent, trade talks, signing his free agents and new players also to fill his own roster. But before he gets down to business, he, Head Coach Gerard Gallant and select players have a special treat for you, the fans.
On Monday afternoon, the Vegas Golden Knights announced that the team will hold a “Stick Salute to Vegas and Our Fans” event to thank fans Wednesday, June 13rd. The event will be confirmed on 3rd Street Stage, located on Fremont Street Experience outside the D Las Vegas.
The event will take place from 5:30-7 p.m. PT, and will feature special appearances from McPhee, Gallant, and select players. There will also be performances by the Knight Line drumbots, Golden Aces and Chance The Gila Monster.
Keep in mind; this event is free and open to the public. So make sure you get down there early to show your support for our Vegas Golden Knights.
In my opinion, this is a much better idea than a parade. Again, as I said in my past article, parades are meant for the championship winning team. However, this kind of event is a different story altogether.
This party is meant for the inaugural season of a lifetime. It’s likely that this kind of gathering never happens again with this organization unless the Golden Knights win a Stanley Cup. That’s why this is a unique situation.
I highly suggest the fans to go to this event to show your appreciation. The reason why I say that is because this is the last time we”ll get to see the team till September at training camp.

All in all, this is an excellent call by team president Kerry Bubolz and the Vegas Golden Knights. Give the fans one last time to chant “Go Knights Go!” for the expansion franchise. This function should be a lot of fun for the casual fan and the diehards, so make sure you be there for all the fun!
