2.) Ivan Barbashev
Ivan Barbashev is the team leader in goals (13). He's also benefitted greatly from having Jack Eichel on his line. The former second-overall pick has created magic with Barbashev and Mark Stone early, accounting for 157:22 of TOI (13 games), according to Natural Stat Trick.
The trio has also scored 15 goals while allowing eight, accounting for a GF% of 65.22. While Stone has been a notable absence on the top line, Barbashev and Eichel have done fine without the Captain.
Together, they've totaled 181:31 of TOI (26 games), scoring 14 goals and allowing eight. That's good for a GF% of 63.64, keeping the top unit stable. While Eichel deserves credit for becoming the elite playmaker he was expected to be, much of that also goes to the Russian forward. He's capitalized on those opportunities, using his size and speed to blister past opponents.
It could be a race between two Russian stars for the scoring title in Las Vegas. The Golden Knights are proving they're fine with younger talent at the wing position, with both Dorofeyev and Barbashev taking the helm. That could even lead to another Stanley Cup come June.
