Man, life comes at you fast, eh? One minute, you're celebrating the Vegas Golden Knights winning their first Stanley Cup and you're getting fired on your day off. It's funny how that works, especially in today's sports world.
Just look at Michael Malone, who was shown the door by the Denver Nuggets after leading them to an NBA title shortly before his firing. It's like the sports gods don't care for what you've done in the past few years. All they want are... results.

That seems to be the case for Braeden Bowman, who was sent down to the Henderson Silver Knights on Wednesday. The hotshot rookie scored eight goals and 18 assists with the Golden Knights before being reassigned, providing an offensive spark to the lineup. But that's not the only thing that Bowman provided.
You see, he provided a small spark of hope for the Golden Knights regarding their future. The team has plenty of aging players on their roster, ranging from William Karlsson to Mark Stone to Tomas Hertl. Eventually, you need the kids to step in and take on bigger roles, which is where Bowman comes into play.
Fans have lauded how he's similar to Stone in his style of play, doing well with offensive IQ and positioning. That will be no different for him once he develops into a bona fide starter in the Golden Knights lineup.
So, what's the moral of the story? Well, never forget to acknowledge reality around you. Sometimes, that can come in the form of your players completely tuning you out. That can also come in the form of being sent down to the AHL, where you'll need some extra juice. Whatever the case is, don't get your head lost in the clouds.
