Some time ago, I mentioned how I needed to go outside for more walks. It was a part of a daily routine, intended to improve my daily life. After all, one small step for man is one small step to improve your mobility and cardio.

Lo and behold, it's become an essential routine in my regular life. I feel better and have cleared my mental state every time I go for a walk. On top of that, I get the one thing many people need: sunshine.

When you're holed up in your place for nearly the entire time, you need to get outside and see the sun. You can't look directly into it, though. You'll burn your eyes off, especially in the triple-digit heat.

Preferrably, I like going outside when it's in the late afternoon or the early evening. That way, the sun doesn't roast me alive and turn me into a Costco chicken.

Now, I know what you're thinking. What does this have to do with the Vegas Golden Knights? Well, it has plenty to do with the gameday experience that comes with walking in the sunshine. That means getting your Vitamin D while walking the Las Vegas Strip.

Why Vegas Golden Knights fans should get more sunshine in their lives

Every Golden Knights gameday, I park at Treasure Island and go through the casino. That way, I'm not searing like a rump roast in the oven during those hotter months. Then, I spend one mile or two walking the Strip and taking in the various sights.

Obviously, I'll run into some tourists while walking. Sometimes, they'll suddenly stop for some odd reason. Maybe they have no sense of their surroundings. Oh whatever. The sun's out and that's only temporary.

I keep walking until I come across Park MGM. My thighs might be chaffed and as red as a Red Wings jersey. But that doesn't matter. I can see Beerhaus in my line of sight, meaning T-Mobile Arena isn't far off.

There's the long walk back after the game and the sun has set. But that doesn't matter. I got to see the sun and experience the breeze hitting my face. To me, that's important considering I didn't want to be holed up inside my house.

Therefore, take the time to get some sun, Golden Knights fans. Look at your surroundings and see what's around you. Heck, even go on the long walk to T-Mobile Arena during gameday. I guarantee you'll feel great about yourself.
