Ladies and gentlemen, Victor Olofsson finally has a home. After spending one season with the Vegas Golden Knights, the Swedish winger is signing a one-year deal with another Stanley Cup contender.

According to Puckpedia, the Colorado Avalanche are taking that one-year flyer on Olofsson, using him to bolster their lower lines. There's a good reason for that, too. Last season, the winger scored 15 goals and 14 assists with the Golden Knights. Six goals and two assists came on the second-best power play in the NHL (28.3%), making him an integral part of the unit.
That was much better for the forward than 2023-24, where he scored seven goals and eight assists with the Buffalo Sabres. That was the only time in his career where he played more than 10 games and scored fewer than 10 goals (51 games played with Buffalo in 2023-24).
Per @PuckPedia Victor Olofsson has signed a one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche.

Golden Knights fans were wondering when the Swedish forward would eventually get a deal. Lo and behold, he secures one with another Stanley Cup contender. Here, he'll provide ample special teams help, specifically on the power play. Imagine him playing with superstars such as Cale Makar, Nathan MacKinnon, and Martin Necas. That could boost his numbers to greater heights.
In the meantime, the former Golden Knights star is just glad to have a home. He proved he could still play at a high level in Vegas, adding scoring in multiple facets. Avalanche fans can expect more of the same while Olofsson is sticking around the Rocky Mountains and getting that "mile high" air.
A hard shot and sniping acumen will make him a good fit on a thriving Colorado attack. Add in Denver Broncos football and he should feel good about his new home.
