Round Two, Pick 58
Adam Benak
Benak spent the 2024-25 season with the Youngstown Phantoms, where he scored 17 goals and 42 assists over 56 games. He is a 5'7 left-shooting centre. He also appeared on the Czechia National team in the World Junior Championships, where he earned two goals and five points over four games, as well as the U18 International Junior team where he held 24 points (7G, 17A) over 12 games.
Benak is a strong skater with solid edges, East/West movement, a strong motor and good vision. The biggest hindrance that he'll face is his size and needing to work on his overall defensive abilities.
Leo Sundqvist
Sundqvist is a 5'9 right-shooting winger, he played on the Brynäs IF J20 throughout the 2024-25 season, ending the year with 15 goals and 11 assists over 33 games played. He is a deceptive player with strong puck-handling skills.
Sundqvist excels in finding space when he is off the puck, is physically engaged in the game and can finish plays with confidence. Sundqvist is not a very dominant player despite his physical engagement, and he could use some practice getting away from defenders with more speed. He would excel as a depth scorer at the NHL level.
